As we know, the Adobe Camera RAW includes some tools not available in the Photoshop itself.
And how about adjusting, for example, the "Clarity" during extensive image editing in Photoshop?
The "Edit in ACR" script lets you, at any time, open the edited document in ACR window (the image format doesn't matter).
Once ready with your ACR corrections, click the "OK" button. The result appears in the source document as a separate layer.
If needed, you may fade the achieved effect by reducing the "ACR" layer opacity.
Let's make it clear that, when applied to a multi-layer document, the script loads to ACR the composite (merged) image. To exclude some layers, just hide them prior to starting the script.
