This script creates a 16-bit copy of the current image.

On the screenshot, the source 8-bit document "DSC_6343.jpg" has been converted to 16-bit "DSC_6343 (16-Bit copy)".

Honestly, since PSE provides very limited support for 16-bit editing, the usefulness of such a conversion is questionable.

But at least, you have this option now.
